Typing happens at the speed of distraction; true writing requires a deliberate pace. We crafted the Veritas Fountain Pen not merely as an office supply, but as an intellectual anchor.

When you uncap this instrument and rest it upon your desk, it serves as a tactile reminder to slow down, compose your thoughts, and leave a physical mark on the world. Designed to age alongside you, this pen absorbs the oils from your hands, ensuring that the tool becomes uniquely yours over a lifetime of use.

ANATOMY OF AN HEIRLOOM (MATERIALS)

The Veritas is a study in material contrast, perfectly balancing the cold precision of metal with the organic warmth of nature:

  • THE GRIP & FOUNDATION

    • Machined from solid, unlacquered brass, the grip section places the weight of the pen precisely at your fingertips, reducing writing fatigue. The finial (the back end of the pen) is also crafted from matching brass to perfectly counterbalance the nib.

  • THE BARREL & CAP

    • Turned from natural, dark-grained hardwood, the barrel and cap provide a warm, smooth tactile experience. The organic grain ensures that no two pens are visually identical.

  • THE NIB

    • A finely tuned stainless steel nib sits at the heart of the pen, engineered for a smooth, skip-free flow of ink across textured parchment or smooth notebook paper.

THE WRITER'S RITUAL (HOW TO USE)

A fountain pen demands a different level of interaction than a disposable ballpoint. Embrace the ritual:

I. The Preparation (Filling the Ink)

The Veritas utilizes a standard international converter. Dip the metal nib fully into your chosen bottle of ink, twist the internal piston to draw the liquid up, and gently wipe the nib clean with a soft cloth before writing.

II. The Posture (Writing Angle)

Unlike a ballpoint, which must be pressed hard into the paper, a fountain pen relies on capillary action. Hold the brass grip lightly. Allow the nib to glide across the paper at a 45-degree angle. Let the weight of the brass do the work; apply zero downward pressure.

III. The Preservation (Maintenance)

  • The Brass: The brass grip and accents will naturally oxidize and develop a unique, dark patina over time. If you prefer the bright golden look, polish occasionally with a specialized brass cloth.

  • The Wood: Keep the wooden barrel away from prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or extreme humidity to prevent the natural wood from cracking.

  • The Nib: Flush the pen with clean, lukewarm water every time you change ink colors, or if the pen will be stored unused for more than a week.
